Long Time No Post

Okay,
I know it has been forever since I have posted anything on here. So, over the next couple of weeks I will try to update my blog with things that have been happening this year. I have several post on Myspace and Facebook that I will transfer over.

Well, for now I need to get to bed so I can get up early in the morning for church.

God Bless You All

God's Forgiveness is Incredible

Today in church we celebrated Veterans Day. However, even more important Bro. Will spoke on Extreme Graditude that we should have toward God. He referenced Isaiah 12:1-6. He pointed out that graditude is the key to having a joyful life. Then he said that Jesus Christ has come and has given us so much. He gave His own life for our sins. How do we so Christ our graditude. It is because of Christ death that God forgives us of our sins and the things that we have done wrong in our lives. God is not mad at you. He wants you to experience his grace, mercy, and love. We may feel guilty but God wants us to turn that guilt over to Him.
The above information came from Bro. Will's sermon.
Today we also pertook of the Lord's supper. During the Lords Supper I though a lot about how many times in my life I have fallen into sin and to the ways of the world. It was such an amazing service and I really contemplated on areas of my life that I have seperated my self from Christ. I am so thankful that Christ died on the Cross for my sins and for each of your sins. Todays Lord's Supper is probably on of the most meaningful that I have ever participated in in my life. I was able to show my graditude toward God and Christ for my salvation.
I pray that I will continually grow closer and closer to Christ and that I will not fall into the sins and temptations of the world. I am committing to God that when I feel like I am tempted that I will seek Him and ask Him to help me out of the temptation before I get into sin that I should not be in.

"Thankyou Lord for dieing on the Cross for my sins and for suffering the pain that You took on for me. I should have been the one to suffer the death for my own sins, but You did it for me. I Love You more than words can descibe. AMEN" Crystal Reams

Friendships are a gift from God!!!

First off, I would like to apologize to everyone for the length of time it has been between my post. I have basically had no life this past month. I have been working way to much. I am starting to slow down now though. I am actually taking my two days off each week now.

(Amanda chilling in my room before we left for Louisville)

(Andrew hanging out with my dog Larkin in my room before leaving for Louisville)

Last night I was actually able to enjoy my life a little bit, well actually a lot with three of my closest friends (Amanda, Andrew, and David). It was about midnight when we decided that Amanda, Andrew, and myself would drive down to Louisville to see one of my best friends from college David. We got to Louisville about 2:oh or:30 am and hung out at Steak and Shake for a while. Then we went down to the river side to shoot off some bottle rockets. Before we started shooting off the bottle rockets though Andrew found a bottle floating down the river. When he grabbed it out of the river there was actually a message in it. That's pretty cool, because it's not to often that you find a message in a bottle. Here are some pictures of the message in the bottle.

(Andrew's discovery of the message in the bottle)

Any way after the excitement of finding a message in a bottle we began to shoot off bottle rockets. It is actually really cool to shoot off bottle rockets into the river. They go down into the water and light up the water while making a splash. We also had a few that flew across the top of the water like skipping stones on the water, which was really neat.

(Andrew watched in amazement as David made a bottle rocket skip across the water.)

(Amanda and I enjoyed watching the guys as they tried doing different tricks while shooting off the bottle rockets.)

I am so glad that I was able to introduce two of my closest friends from home to one of my best friends from college. I look forward to spending more time together. We had an incredible night just hanging out together. Whoever said that Christians can't have fun was wrong, because we had an incredible time. We hung out and talked about many things and were also able to pray and share in Christ love with each other and the people around us.

Isn't it awesome that God puts such awesome people in our lives that we can Riley on. I pray that the friendship I have here will last the rest of my life.

Well, I gotta go pick up my dog from the groaners, so I will chat at you all later.

Love Ya,

Crystal

Very Busy with Work!!!

Hello everyone,
Ok, I am so sorry it has been since May 10th since I have last updated my blog. I have been really busy working at Wal-mart. Especially since we just opened 2 Wednesdays ago. I have been getting in a lot of overtime. I get home have time to sleep and get right back up for work. Third shift is really tiring it feels like I have no life. It is better than the swing schedule at McDonalds was though.
Well, I would write more, but I am so tired and I have to work again tonight. So, I am hitting the sack.

Sorry For The Gap Between Post

Hey guys,

I know it has been several days since I last updated my blog. I actually could not help that. Insight Broadband has been having a lot of networking problems. I am actually surprised that I can get on the internet now.

Anyway, it is almost 4am and I am having the hardest time trying to stay away so that I do not throw my sleep schedule off. Working 3rd shift is hard to get use to. I really enjoy my job. Of course I like Youth Ministry a lot better though. Wal-mart opens on Wed. May 17 at 8am. Right now we are just trying to get all the departments stocked with product. The nights actually go by pretty quick and everyone is pretty nice to work with.

I have also been really busy with church interviews and filling out interview questionnaires. I have an interview with a search committee this Thursday so please pray that if that is where God wants me that the church and me will both know. If that is not where God wants me pray that my other interviews go well.

Last night I got to talk to a friend from college. He is in seminary now and doing pretty good. God is really preparing him for the area of ministry that he needs to be in. He is in search of a possible internship for counseling. Hopefully something will come about in the right timing.

Oh, an amazing thing happened last night. I was looking through all my computer disk to see what was on them and I found this disk from college that I did not even remember that I had. It has some amazing pictures of Jesus on it that are pencil sketches. There is also a slide show on it from 9/11. Many of the things that are on the disk I can use along with some of my sermons and bible studies. It's amazing how you find things that you do not even remember having. It always comes at the perfect time too.

Well, It's now 4:03 am and I guess I will go try to get some other things done before I hit the sack. Sorry about just blabbing on in this post. It's just that I am trying to stay awake. I hope you all have a wonderful day and that God blesses each of you in incredible ways.

First Day On The Job

Well, today was my first official day on the job at Wal-Mart. First days are always so long and boring because many of the things that are gone over are common sense. I am just glad that I should be done with the computer based training in the morning. Then I will be able to get out on the floor and help stock the shelves to get the store ready for its Grand Opening. I did make a few friends today that I can hang out with at work, so that's always good. Oh, In case you are wondering the reason why I am writing about my day at work now, it's because I am working days right now for training. When the store opens I'll be on third shift.

To update you on how things are going with knowing where God wants me to follow Him in ministry. I am not quite sure exactly where He wants me yet. I have been contacted from several churches and am praying about a few of them. I know that God will show me the one He wants me to be in. I will keep you all posted on that. Keep praying though.

Well, I gotta run and finish preparing to speak for Kayla's group at Scott High School tomorrow. Then I have a softball game tonight.

Got A Job!!!

Friday was such a busy day. I had several phone calls I had to return to companies about job interviews. Then I had not one but three job interviews with Wal-mart. I did get a job with the new Super Wal-mart on Houston Rd in Florence. I'll be working 3rd shift, but that's great because I don't have to drop anything that I am involved with such as the youth group, softball, choir, running the sound board and powerpoint for church and other church events. I think I might actually take up guitar lessons as well.

After my interview Friday I went up to the Grove to staff the Ludicrous Lock-In. It was an extremely awesome night. The theme was i-matter, we talked about how we matter in this world and that God made each of us for a purpose. We had lots of fun with the games such as the blow up bungee run, bouncy boxing, twister, and joust. Also the games in the gym such as the 3 on 3 turnaments, human foosball, and basketball. Oh, I can't forget about the Whitecastle eating contest, which Stevie Mac tore up. Pictures and video clips can be seen soon on www.groveyouth.net under the pictures area.

Well, I have to be going now because I have so many things to get done before church tonight.
