Got A Job!!!

Friday was such a busy day. I had several phone calls I had to return to companies about job interviews. Then I had not one but three job interviews with Wal-mart. I did get a job with the new Super Wal-mart on Houston Rd in Florence. I'll be working 3rd shift, but that's great because I don't have to drop anything that I am involved with such as the youth group, softball, choir, running the sound board and powerpoint for church and other church events. I think I might actually take up guitar lessons as well.

After my interview Friday I went up to the Grove to staff the Ludicrous Lock-In. It was an extremely awesome night. The theme was i-matter, we talked about how we matter in this world and that God made each of us for a purpose. We had lots of fun with the games such as the blow up bungee run, bouncy boxing, twister, and joust. Also the games in the gym such as the 3 on 3 turnaments, human foosball, and basketball. Oh, I can't forget about the Whitecastle eating contest, which Stevie Mac tore up. Pictures and video clips can be seen soon on www.groveyouth.net under the pictures area.

Well, I have to be going now because I have so many things to get done before church tonight.

Goodbyes Are Never Easy

I know that good byes are never easy, so what I want to say to all my Cornerstone friends is I'll see you later. I just wanted to write a little to let you know that I will miss everyone there.

Sometimes God has plans for us that are not always easy to follow. I knew that God was telling me that he wanted me to follow Him. It was so hard leaving all of you because I had an incredible time at Cornerstone. Please understand that the reason why I left is because I feel like God is calling me into fulltime ministry.

I pray that God will continue working in your lives as He has so much for each of you. Keep in touch with me and let me know what is going on in your lives. If you have any questions or need help at anytime, don't hesitate to call or e-mail me. I will be here for you. I will also keep you updated where God leads me.

"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity." 1Timothy 4:12

Thank You

I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for their prayers and support during such a difficult time through the death of my uncle. It was an extremely hard week for our family. However, I felt the prayers and support that were coming from each of you. I really appreciate the love and kindness that was shown.
My uncle Donnie was such a terrific man. He was our big teddy-bear that was always there to hug us. He was also extremely funny. He could make everyone laugh, even when you were down. He was also extremely protective. As a matter of fact on one of my dates, the guy picked me up at my grandma's house. Donnie was living there at the time. Donnie decided that he thought it would be funny to scare my date. So he threatened that it he (my date) hurt me that he (Donnie) would hang my date by his toes and let him swing from the fan in my grandma's living room. I was shocked that my date actually wanted to go on a second date after that.
I will really miss my uncle and all the things he did for me. Also, all the talks that we had. However, I praise God that Donnie is home now in paradise. He is with my grandma and cousin.
Please continue to remember our family in your prayers, especially his three children Ashley (16), Amber (14), and Bruce (12).
Again, Thank You so much for all the prayers and support during this time. You have no idea how much that has meant to all of our family.

I Love You All
Crystal

Job Interview

Well, I went to a job interview this morning. On the way there I started feeling so sick. It was like I knew before I got there that God did not want me to take the job. Then when I met with the representative within one minute he knew I wasn't suppose to be there. It's not that I am not qualified for the job, because I am. I have more than enough experience. It's just that God was really working. I knew that I was not meant to be there. God is going to open the right door and I will know it.
It was so strange though because the guy I interviewed with was not a Christian. He had a lot of questions, but he knew what I was passionate about. Which was not working for that company. It was kinda cool though that I was able to share Christ in a job interview.
God, works in mysterious ways. He also works in his own perfect timing.

Hello all,

I wanted to start a blog to keep everyone updated on what is going on in my life, with the youth group and about other interesting topics. I will be talking about topics such as my dog Larkin, sermon notes, youth lessons, and much more. If you have anything that you would like me to talk about let me know.

The picture on the left is Larkin and me last summer. My dog is the pride and joy of my life. He is so cute and is always doing silly things that make me laugh. On Easter day on the way to my cousin Becky's house Larkin was in the back seat with his head hanging out the window. He slipped and put his paw on the window switch. Poor thing got his head stuck in the window. He looked like he was have a seizure because he was being choked. I felt so bad for him. Then at Becky's he ran off down the hill and went for a swim in the pond. Then he had a hard time finding the way out because of all the mud holes. Larkin can get into some sticky situations sometimes, but I still love him.

To update everyone who has been praying for me about finding a job, I am still looking. I have been getting my resume out to several places each day. Please keep praying that God will open the door that he wants me to enter and that He will make it obvious to me.

I would also like everyone to pray for a good friend of my Bill Clark the Associate Pastor/Minister of Students at Hickory Grove Baptist as he is recovering from his tonsillectomy. Bill I hope you have a quick recovery.

I will add more to my blog later so keep checking back.
